Solar Panel Cleaning
Simply spraying your solar panels down with hose water every month is not only time-consuming, but extremely dangerous to the health of your panels…
Why buy solar for only 70% of its output?
Did you know that the accumulation of dust on your solar panels can reduce the energy output of your panels by upwards of 30%... in just one month (source “MIT News”)
Getting your solar panels regularly cleaned is extremely important if you want to get the most out of your panels.
but…
How they get cleaned is just as important…
Why..?
Because like all glass, solar panels can also develop hard water stains.
And because of the delicate technology inside of your panels,
removing those stains without permanently damaging your panels is next to impossible.
The best ways to avoid a situation like this are:
Buying an expensive DI water filter (ours is over $2,000!)
Wait for the rain to clean your panels
or get your panels professionally cleaned
Our process will maximize efficiency, without damaging your panels
We use a 4 stage filter to clean solar panels
That means the water goes through 4 different stages of filtration before being used to clean:
First a prefilter that filters out any debris in the water,
Then a carbon filter that clears out all of the chlorine and sediment,
After that, it goes into a Reverse Osmosis membrane to remove any remaining chemical and metal contaminants,
Finally, it goes into a deionizing filter to bring the water down to 0ppm (parts per million)
This process might seem like a lot…
but when you take into account the fact that most solar warranties will not cover hard water damage,
It’s better to be safe than sorry…
If you want the most out of your solar panels year-round, without risking permanent and costly damage to them…
